Adobe Systems, Inc. flash 10.1 is out of beta and is now available on the Android Market for the Nexus One . Versions for other Android 2.2 devices should be available soon, we will post an update once Adobe makes the announcement.
Mobile Flash 10.1 is supposed to support the same content as desktop versions but I haven’t had a chance to fully test it. I went to the Hulu site www.hulu.com, the page rendered but when I tried to play a video it said my platform was not supported. Not sure if it’s a problem with the mobile implementation or a performance issue.
At the recent Flash Summit in San Fracisco Adobe also announced the Adobe Air 2.5 will be available for Android in the 4th quarter. For those that may be unfamiliar with Air, its Adobes Integrated Runtime (AIR) cross-platform runtime environment that allows you to build stand alone Internet applications using Flash, Flex, HTML or Ajax.

Before visiting Hulu type ‘about:debug’ (without quotes) into the address bar and touch go. Then in settings change UA String to Desktop. Then visit Hulu. The videos should play.
Hi Ray,
Thanks so much for the excellent suggestion it hadn’t occurred to me, I changed the “UA String to Desktop” but still no joy. For a moment I though it was going to work. The video boxes had controls showing on them which wasn’t the case before I made your suggested changes. It could be something else I have installed on my Nexus. I’m always installing and testing software, I really need to clean up the clutter.
Again thanks for the suggestion and please keep reading!
