Number Guru: Free Caller ID and reverse number lookup for Android and iOS. Available for Blackberry soon

My latest find I wanted to share is a free Caller ID and Reverse phone number look-up app called Number Guru. In my testing the program worked well giving me the name, city and phone company of the caller while the caller id on the handset showed no information.

Google: Tap, pay and save, soon your wallet is your phone

Google, in conjunction with launch partners Citigroup, MasterCard, First Data and Sprint, officially announced its mobile payment app, Google Wallet. The app will essentially make your phone your wallet. The software works in tandem with special hardware utilizing near field communications (NFC).

Will video on demand services like Netflix make DVDs a thing of the past?

A newly-released SNL Kagan study, The Economics of TV and Film, reveals that 2010 was similar to 2009 in that the domestic box office hit a record high, once again, while the domestic video retail market was continuing its steady decline. Consumers are now opting to sign up for streaming and/or rental services, like Netflix. They are using video on demand (VOD) services more and more, as they discover these services can be cost effective.
