Google updated their excellent Map app to version 5.5 for Android. The change log is as follows:
- Check in and out directly from Place pages
- Change Latitude work and home addresses
- Redesigned the transit station pages
I don’t personally care about Latitude and the Check-in stuff, but I always update the Google Maps app when one is available. I depend on Google Maps for navigation and I just love it. I haven’t had a chance to use the transit station pages but I could see this being very useful information for users served by a major transit line.
You can download Google Maps 5.5 for Android from their market place page here. If you already have it installed its time for an update.
