Opinion: The problem with Angry Birds Space for Android? It’s still Angry Birds.

by George Heymann |@techeadlines

technology-headlines.com

At the risk of offending Angry Birds fans, Rovio has long since jumped the shark in my estimation with installment after installment of  the Angry Birds franchise. The latest release of the hugely popular franchise Angry Birds Space has the birds chasing a giant claw through a wormhole after it kidnaps their eggs.

The birds find themselves floating in a galaxy surrounded by space pigs. If it sounds ridiculous, it’s only because it is! Angry Birds Space  features 60 interstellar levels on planets and in zero gravity. The game also offers slow-motion puzzles, new birds, new superpowers and zero gravity environments.

I must admit I didn’t play the latest installment long enough to experience all of the new gameplay elements. Although having to alter bird launch trajectories to factor for planet gravity or lack of gravity in space did add to the challenge.
