Voice Share: Send Voice Messages via SMS and Facebook

Our friends at Base 2 Applications, LLC have released their latest creation Voice Share. Voice Share is a smartphone app that simplifies sharing “voice notes” with your friends and family through SMS messaging and Facebook available for Android and Windows Phone.

Using the app is a breeze, you tap on the big microphone icon to record your voice message, then tap another to share via SMS or Facebook. You can also attach “gifts” (colorful icons) both free and premium versions to your voice recordings to send with your recordings. Please note you are limited to 1 of each type of gift per day. Premium gifts require you to unlock Voice Share premium a 99 cent in app purchase.

Google and Samsung officially announce the Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Google and Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) at its press event in Hong Kong last night and there is a lot to report.

Let’s begin with Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), the latest version of the Android OS by Google, it looks fantastic. The user interface (UI) appears to be heavily influenced by Matias Duarte the Director of Android user experience at Google. Matias was formerly the VP of User experience at Palm and led the interface design teams at both Helio and Danger.

The ICS user interface is elegant in its simplicity, its emphasis on typography starting with ICS Roboto font and layout stands out as a divergent path in Android development. ICS unified gestures throughout the UI and applications should make navigation simpler for new and experienced users alike.

The capacitive buttons are gone, ICS uses full touch screen controls that automatically orient themselves to match the orientation of the phone. The buttons can also be adapted for specific functions that are context sensitive within application sub-menus.

Nodo WP7 pre-update finally rolling out to T-Mobile HTC HD7

After several rumors and a couple of false starts the January, February, early March, WP7 “Nodo” pre-update has started rolling out to the T-Mobile HTC HD7. No word yet on when we will see the actual update for the Phone. Microsoft has botched these updates for WP7 to the point that I can no longer recommend the platform to readers.
